Basel Scarpa Clothing Store

The historical building "Zum Eiserner Tor" reveals an interesting architectural history through renovation into a clothing store. This property originally consisted of four houses, which developed into one after a few centuries. This is reflected in the different room levels, with niches and old load-bearing walls remaining on their structure. A line of light and mirror connects the four spatial entities into a new unity. Continuous, yellow clay stucco and gilded walls give the store a warm atmosphere.
