The program consists of four key components: the central medical technology district, various hospital units, the landscape around the hospital, and underground logistics and transportation hubs. These parts make up the whole of harmonious symbiosis. There is a clear connection between each clinic or hospital, but they can also operate and expand independently. We want to design a hospital with a centralized layout, which accommodates the largest courtyard space, the shortest streamline, and the most convenient transportation links.
Nanjing Pukou International Medical Center
In this large-scale hospital project, a number of independently operated medical institutions share medical resources through the central medical technology zone to form a whole that complements each other and benefits together. Inspired by the art of origami, the architectural design combines a soft and fascinating façade with ubiquitous garden elements to create a convenient, efficient and beautifully landscaped space.
