Muscheren apartment reconstruction
The building was built in 1957-1959. For comfort, hygiene and technology considerations, all 82 apartments needed to refurbish bathrooms, kitchens and balconies. Around the corner, the apartment in the tower house also has a heated kitchen. Each of the 28 apartments has two balconies, which also provides additional support for the new generosity. The sharp angles, the continuous new windows and parapet strips, and the horizontal structure break the visual perception of the size of the building. New kitchens, bathrooms and floor coverings were installed in 54 apartments in these low-rise buildings, and balconies were expanded. The external space is designed as a horizontal strip, adapted to the tower structure in shape and material. Most of the apartments have been renovated in an inhabited state, and the reconstruction efforts are greater when the building is vacant.
