Extension of the Hospital of Sion

Among fingers

The extension part of the new hospital of Sion is designed to be a low and large area to adapt to the Alps landscape by fitting to the green valley’s gallery.

The whole hospital is surrounding the axis between the chateau de Sion and the existing hospital. The fingers looked building forms bring naturally the greenness of the forest into the building inside. The main clinic street situated in the middle enjoys the natural north light from the roof. A low building choice of two floors makes the interior connections more polyvalent and more human. The waves of the topography bring the hospital integrated into a global Alps green area.
